Discipleship Study Groups Discipleship Study Groups (DSG) at First Baptist Church help us grow in Christlikeness as we study God’s Word in community for the sake of the world. Our groups meet at 9:15 on Sunday mornings. The heart of First Baptist Church is lived in our Discipleship Study Groups. We urge each worshipper to find a spiritual home in a DSG. Each Discipleship Study Group has its own DNA with specific teaching and learning styles, age make-up, patterns, and fellowship. Use this overview of each group to find your group. Feel free to try separate groups until you find your home. Our learning process is a blend of initial lecture which encourages, but does not require, discussion by group members. Trusting the Holy Spirit to guide our reflections, we believe we live and grow by asking honest questions about the scripture and its interpretation in a loving, respectful manner. Group members benefit from the sacred fellowship of mutual concern and support for each other.
